Lower Coal Creek Falls is a road-side cataract east of Sweethome.
GPS N44º 26.624', W122º 35.396', Elevation above sea level 540 ft.
Directions:

From I-5 exit onto Hwy 20 and head east towards Lebanon
At milepost 33 east of Sweethome turn left onto Green Peter Dam/
Quartzville Road (reset your trip odometer)
After 2.7 miles on Quartzville Road find a wide spot on the left side of the road
The lower falls is right next to the road

A better vantage point can be had by walking a few feet farther up the road to an upwardly
sloping gravel road. The better view is tempered by the ugliness of the cast-off appliances.

There are picnic and camping areas along Quartzville Road and HWY20.
